The Denfeld neighborhood lies within the West Duluth neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. Denfeld is made of mostly closely-spaced single-family residential homes interspersed with a fair number of rental units. There are also a number of stores and businesses in the neighborhood concentrated along Grand Avenue.
One of Denfelds main streets is 40th Avenue West. The Denfeld neighborhood reaches up the hill to West 8th Street, extending west to Central Avenue. Denfeld extends from Central Avenue until it intersects with Grand Avenue; Grand Avenue, until it crosses 46th Avenue West. Denfeld is considered to extend south to the I-35 freeway and east to the railroad tracks near Carlton Street. Carlton Street is the recognized dividing-point between West Duluth and Lincoln Park.
The Denfeld High School serves most of West Duluth; six neighborhoods farther to the west; Lincoln Park and Piedmont Heights to the east; and is an historical and architectural attraction.
